It is Verheyden & Cognard’s practice not to charge their prospective future clients for initial contact or the first meeting. This way you are completely free to consult with us and potentially work with us later. In this first meeting, we will clearly present to you our methods and inform you of our fee arrangement.

Generally, our fees depend on the time spent working on your case and payment is due at the end of the month. This allows you to check on the progress and work done on your case regularly and precisely.

Exceptions are sometimes made by giving certain clients a lump sum fee, when the volume and recurrence of files by a same client justify it.

In certain litigation cases, Verheyden & Cognard can also decide, in addition to a lump sum or to fees depending on the time spent on one case, to ask for a contingency fee.
